Hello everyone and welcome to the hottest month in Osaka ! Fear not there is plenty to see and do and ways to cool down in this heat ! Today is August 7th and is the annual Yodogawa fireworks show. Located just 5 minutes from Umeda it is an easy show to see ! Starting at dusk and continuing for over an hour this light show isnt to be missed if you are staying in town this weekend ! Just take the train or walk from Umeda. You can't miss it as there are thousands of yukata dressed fans anticipating the hanabi (fireworks).
Head down there and enjoy some food from one of the hundreds of stalls. I recommend Ebi-sembei which is a large thin cracker topped with a kind of sweet brown sauce and deep fried tempura batter bits and a fried egg !
